Terms & Conditions
- Whether you book on-line or over the telephone, 15% deposit is required to secure your booking
- If
you book over the telephone, please have the Booking Summary screen in
front of you. This shows your chosen dates and costs. Escape will
confirm that your chosen holiday is available, and issue you with a
Booking Reference. When you have this, print 2 copies of the Booking
Summary screen, and write on each copy the Booking Reference. If you
have not paid your deposit by card over the phone, please post one copy
to Escape with your deposit, making sure that it reaches us within
five days. This deposit is non-refundable. Should you opt for any low deposit offers, in the event of any cancellations the full 15% deposit remains payable
- Payment
can be made by Debit cards, Visa, Solo, Switch, Amex or cheques and postal
orders which must be made payable to Escape Caravan Hire Ltd. We advise
against sending cash payments, but if you have no alternative it must
be sent by registered post as no responsibility can be accepted for
loss. Credit card payments are subject to 3.5% charge, Amex 5%additional charge
- If you book on-line, you will be sent a
confirmation by e-mail. If you book over the telephone, then on receipt
of your payment, you will be sent a confirmation by e-mail if you have
supplied an email address, or if not, by post. This will confirm your
booking and show the remaining balance, which is to be paid no later
than 8 weeks before your holiday. Should your payment not reach us by
the due date, we reserve the right to re-let the caravan. The balance
remaining will be taken automatically from the original card used to
pay the deposit, 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date.
- If
you have to cancel your holiday, you must notify us in writing. The
date of cancellation is the day when we receive written notification.
In the event of cancellation, a sliding scale of charges applies as
laid out below. If you cancel more than 56 days (eight weeks) before
your start date, then your deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel
within 56 days (eight weeks) you will be liable for the following
percentages of the total Holiday cost:Cancel 56-42 days before holiday start date: 50% Cancel 41-21 days before holiday start date: 75% Cancel 20-day of arrival or later 100%
- After you have paid your
deposit, you may wish to change some elements of the holiday, e.g. type
of accommodation. We will do our best to meet your request. However, a
charge of £20 per alteration to the holiday will be payable within
seven days of the alteration. PLEASE NOTE: Once your full balance has
been received you WILL NOT be able to change your holiday accommodation.
- Should
you book eight weeks or less from the date of the holiday, the full
amount will be due immediately, unless prior arrangements have been
made with us.
- Please ensure that the details you
give us online or over the phone are accurate, as failure to do so
could result in you forfeiting your holiday.PLEASE NOTE A 3 bedroom caravan is the only accommodation available for parties of more than six people.
Conditions of Hire
- We regret that we are unable to accept bookings from: -
a) Groups of persons of all one sex.
b) Groups under 21 years of age.
- Weymouth Bay & Waterside are family holiday parks and anyone whose unreasonable
conduct causes a nuisance to any other persons on the park will be
asked to leave.
- In order for us to clean and check the
caravans, departures must be made before 10am on the day of departure
and no keys will be released before 2/4pm on the day of arrival.
- The
caravan must be left in a clean and tidy condition. The hirer is
responsible for all members of the party and must make good any losses,
breakage, or damage done to the caravan or its contents during their
stay. If payment has not been received for any breaches of our T&C prior to departure, payment will be processed from the original payment card without notice and receipt along with invoice will be forwarded to the hirer. Any passes issued on our accounts remain the property of the owners and MUST be returned before departure. Failure to do so will incur extra charges.
- PETS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO STAY IN DESIGNATED CARAVANS. Failure to notify us of your intention to take a pet will result in your holiday being forfeited.
- All our Caravans are strictly NO SMOKING. A breach of this will incur a charge of £80 to cover the costs of a full carpet & upholstery clean.
- For Health & Hygiene reasons, bedlinen MUST be used on all beds at all time.
- Should
accommodation booked become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our
control a full refund will be given. Alternative accommodation to the
same value will be offered whenever possible.
Please
note we do not own the caravan sites and therefore cannot accept
liability for alterations to the facilities from those advertised.
